The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has completed a historic deal with fellow mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship. In the first ever fighter trade between two prominent MMA promotions, former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has been traded for former ONE welterweight title holder Ben Askren. UFC News "Mighty Mouse," of course, is not the first big name from the UFC to transition to ONE Championship as of late. Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez recently became a free agent. Following lengthy negotiations, Alvarez ultimately signed the most lucrative fighter contract in ONE Championship history. While Alvarez did not give away the total amount, the former UFC and Bellator title holder claims the contract is worth a massive eight figures. Well, Demetrious Johnson's agent Malki Kawa recently dropped in on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show to discuss the former flyweight champion's deal with ONE Championship. Kawa revealed that Demetrious Johnson will now be ONE Championship's highest paid fighter, as "Mighty Mouse" is now allegedly making an even larger payday than Eddie Alvarez's eight figure take home.
