Only one month into 2018, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has already suffered six main event or co-main event alterations to some of the promotion's most exciting cards. MMA journalist Mike Bohn has taken to social media to report that a total of six fights from either a main event or co-main event slot have been effected in the year of 2018. Over Twitter, Bohn stated: "Since I know you all love this game: Max Holloway's UFC 222 withdrawal marks the SIXTH main or co-main event change to the UFC calendar so far in 2018." https://twitter.com/MikeBohnMMA/status/959866732046311425 UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway was initially set to face off against former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 222.
