UFC Officially Loses Second Atlantic City Bout On 24 Hours Notice

It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has lost yet another bout for the promotion's upcoming fight card. This time around, the world's most famous mixed martial arts promotion will have to do without a highly anticipated women's bantamweight match up at UFC Fight Night 128. UFC Fight Night 128 is set to go down April 21 inside the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. While the card has already experienced a few complications, the fight night will now be losing another bout. Headliner Kevin Lee missed weight for his upcoming match up. Luckily, opponent Edson Barboza elected to face off against the mixed martial artist in a catchweight bout to save the main event. Meanwhile, Magomed Bibulatov pulled out of his preliminary match up against Ulka Sasaki due to an injury. Women's UFC bantamweight Aspen Ladd missed weight by almost two pound, ultimately deciding to not make another attempt at making weight. The fighter's opponent, Leslie Smith, has since decided to decline a catchweight fight against the mixed martial artist. MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has come forward to confirm that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has removed Smith vs. Ladd from the night's card.
