D.C. Reveals Date Of Next Fight, But Jon Jones Yet To Accept

Ultimate Fighting Championship will be making their way to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California for UFC 214 on July 29, 2017 in what could become one of the biggest fight cards of the year. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier has teased that he will be added to the card, but his recent post on social media makes it sound official.

Cormier is coming fresh off a submission victory over Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at “UFC 210” in a bout that played out much like their first. After the main event fight, Cormier took to the microphone and mocked both Jimi Manuwa and Jon “Bones” Jones, planting seeds for a future pay-per-view bout.

Manuwa took the bait and has been firing back at Cormier, trying to secure his spot as the top contender with something to prove in the division. Jones, on the other hand, could step back into the octagon and fight for a championship right away if he pleases.

The question is whether or not Jones believes he could return in top condition after serving his suspension. His last layoff saw him shake off some ring rust in his bout with Ovince Saint Preux; While Cormier is officially on “UFC 214”, the question remains who will join him:

“July 29th I will be in Anaheim and I’m bring my @UFC title with me. The question is which one of em gon get it. Is it gonna be Jones or Manuwa? #showmemyopponent #andstill #weareaka #dcchampion”
