Bisping Says He’s Got Spies Watching Georges St. Pierre During Training Camp

Georges St. Pierre (GSP) is getting ready to make his long awaited return to the UFC when he challenges middleweight champion Michael Bisping this November at UFC 217. St. Pierre has been away from the octagon since 2013 but has stated many times that he’s still been training very hard in every discipline. In fact, St. Pierre says he’s a become much better fighter during his time away from the sport and is ready to challenge and make history at 185lbs.

“I’ve trained all the time. I feel I’m much better now than I used to be, and everybody says that, all my trainers; More skills, I’m smarter, I feel in much better shape, and mentally I feel better too.” said St. Pierre in an earlier interview.

“I walk around at 185, 190 pounds. I’m going to fight at 185 right now,” St-Pierre said to MMA Fighting. “I even know some guys who fight at 155 (who also) walk around in the offseason at a bigger weight than I am. I can possibly fight in those three divisions. But I’m back for one reason, I want to make history. I’m going to be 36 years old when I’m going to fight, and it’s all going to depend on what’s going to happen and how it’s going to happen.”

However, UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping says he already knows what St. Pierre is working on. He’s very aware that GSP’s been training a lot in New York City with John Danaher, working his Brazilian jiu jitsu game, but Bisping also says he’s got spies in the “Wild Card Boxing Gym” in Los Angeles as well.

“(Georges St. Pierre) is actually in LA a lot these days,” Bisping said on an edition of the Believe You Me Podcast. “He’s been at the Wild Card Boxing gym, training with Freddie Roach. I have a couple of spies in there, by the way, and they told me some info. Georges, if you’re listening buddy, that’s a public domain. I know people in there. I know what you’re working on, pal. I know what you’re working on, and it ain’t going to work on me, Georgie boy.”
