Kevin Lee Breaks His Silence on Saturday Night’s Loss To Tony Ferguson

Top ranked UFC lightweight Kevin Lee fell short of realizing a dream Saturday night, when he was choked out by a Tony Ferguson triangle submission.

The finish crowned Ferguson the interim lightweight world champion and a likely chance to face combat sports mega-star Conor McGregor.

For the first time since leaving the cage, Lee has issued a statement about his UFC 216 defeat.

Taking to his instagram, Lee said,
I appreciate all the support from everyone. I put my body on the line for those I love and I tried my best to leave it all out there in the cage. I said it before the fight, Tony Ferguson was the toughest fight of this division. I tried to step up and last night didn’t go my way, but I will be back more experienced and stronger than ever #25toLife

Immdiately after their bout Lee hinted that his likely next move will be as a welterweight.
