UFC’s Yair Rodriguez Hits The Treadmill And Mitts, At The Same Time . . . And It’s Impressive

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is home to some of the most talented mixed martial arts competitors around. Now one of the promotion’s fighters from its stacked roster has been seen doing some impressively unorthodox training.

UFC featherweight Yair Rodriguez is coming off of a tough TKO loss to former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 211. The TKO stoppage pulled Rodriguez from an impressive eight fight winning streak. Now, the fighter stands tall at a professional record of 10-2.

In a new video, as seen above, “Pantera” can be seen doing a different kind of training. Standing backwards on a treadmill, Rodriguez can be seen practicing striking on his back foot by hitting pads as he walks backwards on the machine.

While the training method looks somewhat risky, it would appear that “Pantera” is having no problems at all. Check out the crazy workout in the video above.
