Tony Ferguson (born February 12, 1984) is an American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. Ferguson currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he is the interim lightweight champion. A professional competitor since 2008, Ferguson won “The Ultimate Fighter 13”, and captured the interim UFC Lightweight championship at UFC 216 when he defeated Kevin Lee by submission.
“It means the world to me!!! I’ve never wanted anything so bad in my life. I’ve had my ups and downs in life, and, no matter what, I always found myself always making it through all right. I’m blessed to be able to keep competing. It’s my dream and my destiny to show the whole world what I can do, what I am capable of physically and mentally.” Ferguson explained when asked what it means to him to fight in the UFC.
