On Tuesday’s Stud Radio show, Justin Buchholz, the head coach of Team Alpha Male, shared his feeling about coaching against former teammate TJ Dillashaw on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter.
“It’s not going to be uncomfortable to me,” Buchholz said. “We got the belt. We’re the A side of the promotion. It’s not going to be uncomfortable for us. The show is for Cody (Garbrandt). TJ is challenging Cody. We’re the A side, they’re the B side. Life is good for the A side.”
UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt will coach opposite of Dillashaw on the next season of TUF. The two former teammates are expected to fight after the conclusion of the season.
On Dec. 30, at UFC 207, Garbrandt became UFC champion after winning a unanimous decision against the former champion Dominick Cruz. Garbrandt is undefeated with 11 wins, with nine coming by knockout or TKO.
Dillashaw is on a two-fight win streak since losing the bantamweight title to Cruz last January. At UFC 207, he won a decision against John Lineker. In July, at UFC 200, Dillashaw won another decision against Raphael Assuncao.
