UFC President Dana White believes heavyweight prospect Francis Ngannou is the future of the UFC heavyweight division.
On Saturday, at a UFC on FOX event in Denver, Colorado, Ngannou knocked out heavyweight legend Andrei Arlovski in the first round of their fight.
“I think he is the future,” White said. “I think Ngannou is the future. I am so impressed with this guy, and he is a monster. A physical monster. I don’t know if we’ve ever had a heavyweight champion as big, as thick, as this guy is. For as green as he is, I mean look at him, he’s unbelievable. I believe he is the future.”
Ngannou has blasted his way from prospect to contender following his TKO win over Arlovski. He is currently on a nine-fight win streak and has 10 wins in his MMA career. Six of his wins have come by knockout or TKO, while the other four wins have come by submission.
