On Saturday, Jorge Masvidal pulled off the biggest win of his UFC career in the co-main event of “UFC on FOX: Shevchenko vs. Pena”.
Masvidal defeated Cerrone by TKO in the second round of their fight. Controversy ensued when Masvidal looked to have finished Cerrone at the end of the first round. Cerrone was notably rocked when getting to his feet at the end of the round. However, referee Herb Dean let the fight go to the second round.
After the fight, Masvidal challenged UFC President Dana White. Masvidal bet White $200,000 that he could not find a fighter to defeat him.
Here are how other fighters reacted to the controversy and Masvidal becoming a top contender in the UFC welterweight division.
