We have seen UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor apply for a boxing license in California in lieu of a possible fight against boxing great Floyd Mayweather. Then we had McGregor rival Nate Diaz apply for licenses in California and Nevada. Recently, featherweight champion Jose Aldo brought up the possibility of getting into the boxing gym.
Could another UFC champion want to get his hands into the pot?
This time it is UFC bantamweight kingpin Cody Garbrandt who reached out to the Oscar De La Hoya run, Golden Boy Promotions.

Garbrandt has a boxing background as he was an amateur, compiling a career record of 11-1. Out of these four fighters, Garbrandt’s the best of them of all and with the most experience.
Before he can step into the boxing ring, Garbrandt starts to film the next season of “The Ultimate Fighter” with former teammate TJ Dillashaw. After the season finishes up filming, the two will fight later on in the year.
