Ultimate Fighting Championship made their Barclay’s Center debut on Saturday evening with “UFC 208: Holm vs. De Randamie” and while the card left more to be desired, the event was a success for the company. In the co-main event of the night, Anderson Silva made his return to the octagon where he squared off with Derek Brunson in a bout that was closer than one certain judge gave the underdog credit for.
Brunson constantly worked for the takedown and was repeatedly stuffed, however, he did see his fair share of offense and fight-fans thought he earned more than the controversial 30-27 scorecard.
