“There seems to several rumors floating around media recently however, let the record show, there hasn’t been any deals made in regards to a fight between myself and any other fighters. I am happily retired and enjoying life at this time. If any changes are to come, be sure that I will be the first to let the world to know.”
Earlier on Tuesday, rumors began to spread that both Mayweather and McGregor had agreed to the fight.
Mayweather is currently visiting Las Vegas in order to speak to the Nevada Athletic Commission. While this meeting was made to help resolve issues from McGregor’s bottle-throwing incident with Nate Diaz back in August, it also could have implications on McGregor applying for a boxing license in order to fight Mayweather in Las Vegas.
