UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is attempting to piece together a bout with Floyd Mayweather. Being the former UFC featherweight champion, McGregor seems determined to be understood as more than an MMA athlete. In a recent Instagram post, “Notorious” referred to himself as a “champion of true fighting.”
“I am not just the champion of true fighting, I am the double champion.” McGregor said within this Instagram post.
McGregor is currently attempting to set up a cross-promotional bout with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, though the two have been going back and forth for some time now.
