Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate recently discussed the possibility of her returning to the UFC.
Tate talked about her fighting future on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight.
“It is not on my radar to come out of retirement at all,” Tate said. “I kind of like hanging out with you guys. So I plan to be here a little bit more. But if I did, 145 pounds sounds a little bit more appealing. I do enjoy my pizza. So with that being said, I don’t want to have to cut weight anymore either.”
Tate retired from MMA competition following her last fight. In November, at UFC 205, Tate lost a decision to Raquel Pennington.
Overall, Tate retired on a two-fight losing streak. In July, at UFC 200, she lost her bantamweight title to current champion Amanda Nunes in the main event.
Tate won the UFC title back in March. At UFC 196, she submitted then-champion Holly Holm in the fifth round of their fight to become champion. Tate went into the final round losing on the judge’s scorecards.
Since retiring from MMA, Tate has began working as a UFC analyst for FOX.
