Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is trying her hand at acting once more. This time, the seminal MMA star managed to snag a role in an up coming episode of the television show “Blindspot.”
As first reported by TMZ, “Rousey will be playing DEVON PENBERTHY: a female prison inmate who grew up in a working class family from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and is serving time for transporting weapons across state lines. She is a tough, athletic woman who knows how to fight and handle a weapon.”
Rousey is coming off of her second loss inside the octagon. Rousey lost to Amanda Nunes via TKO in the first round at UFC 207, making for her second loss in a row.
Rousey did, however, play a small role in the Comedy Central program “Drunk History” last year.
Rousey is likely focusing on her acting career as of now, since she took a large break from the sport after her previous loss.
