Alex Morono and Niko Price kept the action rolling on UFC Fight Pass with their featured preliminary welterweight fight. Niko Price impressed in his octagon debut against Brandon Thatch with a first-round submission win at “UFC 207”. Alex Morono was simply hoping to keep his win streak going by picking up a third win in a row.
Price remained patient in the opening moments of the fight, but once Morono was able to find a comfortable striking distance he started to catch Price off guard with slick combinations. He dropped Price, once in the closing moments of the first round but Price was saved by the bell.
Price stuck to the middle of the octagon in the second round and while his lunging attacks barely landed, Morono remained patient and fired off his combinations when he was confident they would hit. He would finish each combo with a kick to the body or legs of Price, keeping him guessing where to block next. Price started to pick up the pace at the end of the second round and dropped Morono with a wild flurry of strikes, the last knocking him out right at the end of the buzzer!
