The people at FOX Sports Live have already created a promo for the highly anticipated boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
On Tuesday, rumors began to spread that the two fighters had agreed to terms to fight one another. According to Mayweather, these rumors are not true.
The FOX Sports Live promo pokes fun at all the reports saying the fight will happen. The promo is filled with disclaimers saying no details about this fight are official.
Last month, during an interview with McGregor, which McGregor sold online via pay-per-view, he said he believes his next fight will be in a boxing ring. He also said he believes he will fight Mayweather at either the end of this year or the beginning of 2018.
Mayweather has been adamant when saying he is retired. The boxer retired after his fight against Andre Berto in Sept. 2015. While Mayweather has said he would only come out of retirement to fight McGregor, he has also said he is enjoying his retirement and has not agreed to fight anyone at this time.
