Conor McGregor Causes Massive Scene At Weekend Boxing Event In New York

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is making his way around the news again, as the fighter created a stir in New York on Friday.

The champion visited Madison Square Garden Friday night to support Olympic boxer Michael Conlan in his boxing debut. The champion even walked Conlan to the stage, before cheering him on from ringside.

While Conlan walked away with a victory in his boxing debut inside the beautiful MSG, McGregor snagged the spotlight when he went off on a group of boxing reporters after the event.

In the midst of the excited rant, McGregor offered some fresh news on his potential scrap with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

As reported by Sports Net, McGregor exclaimed

“You’re the boxing guy? I’m the boxing guy. Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that. Floyd doesn’t know, no one in this boxing game knows what’s coming. Trust me on that. When I step in there I’m gonna shock the whole [expletive] world. Trust me on that. Look me in the eyes, 28 years of age, confident as a [expletive], long, rangy, dangerous with every hand. Trust me, I’m gonna stop Floyd. You’re all gonna eat your words. The whole world is gonna eat their words.”

A reporter responded by inquiring about the fight date for Mayweather vs. McGregor, McGregor retorted “We’re getting close, don’t worry about it. You’ll hear about it. I’m out of here. I am boxing.”
