Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. was in Birmingham over the weekend as a stop on his meet-and-greet tour. During his time on stage for an event, an impersonator approached in a rough rendition of Conor McGregor. Naturally, the conversation was stuck on a particular cross-promotional bout.
UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has been attempting to place together an epic cross-promotional bout between Floyd Mayweather and himself. The two fighters have been going back and forth for some time now, though an official announcement of the bout seems far from near.
Boxing Hype posted to Instagram a video of comedian Al Foran impersonating McGregor on stage with the boxing legend. The comedian portrayed McGregor as urging Mayweather into taking the bout.
“You said ‘give the fans what they want.’ Let’s give them what the [expletive] they want.” Foran said.
The post is captioned, “@alforancomedy performing Conor McGregor, DeNiro and Mike Tyson impression with Mayweather last night in Birmingham!”
