As Rafael dos Anjos prepares himself for a smooth transition to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s welterweight division, a plethora of fighters have called out the former champion hoping to win the lottery to welcome him. Colby Covington has been persistent in verbally attacking the Brazilian, offering to teach him how to speak English before getting shut down by dos Anjos on social media.
Covington decided to fire back, pridefully holding his status as a ranked fighter and not allowing dos Anjos to simply jump over him in competition. The result of the comeback called for Jorge Masvidal to interject, claiming Covington was in the right for his claims:
@RdosAnjosMMA your on a 2 fight losing streak at a lower weight class. You ain't jumping to front of 170 ahead of me without a fight ??
