In a recent episode of Matt Serra and Jim Norton’s podcast UFC: Unfiltered, former UFC contender Matt Serra gave his two cents on the potential cross-promotional match-up of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
While many have been strategizing and speculating on the potential match, Serra has offered an unexpected point of view on the bout.
“If I had a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, the guy would be all over the place. I wouldn’t even give a [expletive] if I lost a boxing match with that guy, because I know in a real fight I’d take him down and rip his shoulder off. I wouldn’t care if I got beat up in a boxing match. I know that would happen. The guy would never box again.” Serra Said.
Comedian Jim Norton continued to ask Serra if he feels that he could take Mayweather down in a street fight, to which Serra flippantly responded “Don’t be ridiculous. I’ll take him and a couple of his body guards. That’s just reality. I’m not even bragging.”
UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor recently explained that he is very close to “inking” a contract with the boxing legend, though the bout has still not been officially announced.
