UFC flyweight Brad Pickett has gone through a week of trepidation. His final wish as a professional fighter was to hold his retirement fight inside the wonderful London O2 Arena. Pickett’s wish was in thrown into jeopardy when opponent Henry Briones was suddenly pulled from tonight’s UFC Fight Night: London card. Luckily, Marlon Vera stepped up to the challenge.
MMA veteran Brad Pickett made his wish come true. The fighter left his staple trilby hat in the ring and retired inside the O2 Arena. Unfortunately, Pickett lost to Vera via TKO in the third round. Here are what some fellow warriors had to say about the veteran’s departure from the sport.
