Bellator MMA’s stance on snagging up UFC veterans who are in the exploratory phase of their free-agency is becoming a weekly occurrence in 2017.
The Viacom owned MMA promotion has very deep pockets, and continually out bid the UFC’s offers when it comes time to renegotiate terms.
The result has been fighters who are household names making the jump to SPIKE TV. We’ve already seen Benson Henderson and Rory MacDonald make the jump, and now another top ranked UFC vet has just entered the Bellator talent pool.
Female strawweight Valerie Letourneau once fought for the UFC belt, now she represents the first in high-level Bellator 125 pound female signings.
Valerie is expected to make her debut for Bellator this summer.
