UFC Lightweight (and self-proclaimed featherweight) Champion Conor McGregor’s rise to the top of the mixed martial arts world happened seemingly overnight. With just ten fights under the Ultimate Fighting Championship banner, McGregor has already established himself as one of the best fighters of all time and is a major crossover star.
Along with the fame comes the money, and there is no shortage of that when McGregor is partying it up. Conor has earned some of the biggest paydays in mixed martial arts history and he could be on his way to another major one if he signs this deal with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
However, it’s not all glitz and glamor for the lightweight champion of the world. McGregor was recently called out for one of his social media posts where he stood on a Rolls-Royce that was technically not his. Now, the travel agency is considering taking legal action against the champion. “Lord” Aleem Iqbal, whose father runs the renting agency that McGregor got the vehicle from, commented, “When you own one Conor you can stand on it like Floyd until then you can lose your deposit for standing on mine.” on Conor’s social media after seeing the following image:
Platinum Executive Travel, the agency that rented Conor the vehicle, told Liverpool Echo, “He is stood on the car acting like it is his own. It is not his own.” McGregor will no longer be able to rent from the agency. Was Conor too disrespectful in his approach? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
