Ultimate Fighting Championship mega star Conor McGregor has the mixed martial arts community hanging on his every word as he teases the announcement of his next bout. McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been teasing a cross-sport super fight for quite some time, and fight fans are wondering if the fight is about to become a reality.
UFC President Dana White has been a constant roadblock in the negotiation process between McGregor and Mayweather, but only recently has the UFC official stepped back and decided to let McGregor fight in what could become one of the biggest fights of the century.
However, White recently commented that the negotiation process was about to begin. While he mentioned McGregor’s side has agreed to numbers, he has yet to even step into the office with Mayweather recently to lock down what the split would be.
If this fight has yet to be made official and they have yet to lock down a deal, could McGregor be teasing a return to the octagon? White did mention that the next time Conor fought for the UFC it would be a lightweight championship defense, but there have been rumors of a super fight between McGregor and Tyron Woodley for the welterweight championship. McGregor took to his Instagram and posted the following:
