Ultimate Fighting Championship fans were shocked to find out that they would not get to see Kelvin Gastelum take the next step of his career at middleweight, being forced out of his fight with Anderson “The Spider” Silva at “UFC 212” due to a flagged USADA test. Gastelum had tested positive for marijuana metabolites and was removed from the bout, leaving UFC officials scrambling last minute for an opponent.
Silva was asked by the media during a scrum on Tuesday afternoon whether or not he has heard any other names that have piqued his interest. While there are a lot of fighters who were simply brushed to the side by Silva and his team throughout the week, Silva seemed interested in throwing down with Nick Diaz:
Anderson Silva says a rematch with Nick Diaz at #UFC212 has been "talked about" and "it actually makes sense."

The last time these two stepped into the octagon with one another was at “UFC 183” where their fight was ultimately ruled a no contest. Both fighters failed their drug tests for the fight, Silva for performance enhancing drugs and Diaz for marijuana metabolites.
