Following Kelvin Gastelum being pulled from his bout with “The Spider,” UFC warriors have been vying for a chance to face the MMA veteran. Now, former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans can be added to the list.
Kelvin Gastelum was initially set to face Anderson “The Spider” Silva. But, Gastelum has since been flagged by USADA for a banned substance. Gastelum was then pulled from the bout.
MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn has gone to Twitter to reveal that Rashad Evans is interested in facing Anderson Silva.
“Rashad Evans tells the media he’s interested in fighting Anderson Silva at UFC 212 in June. Will talk to his team and see if he can get it.” Bohn said.
No. 1 ranked contender Yoel Romero has also been reported as interested in facing “The Spider.” Silva’s future opponent has yet to be officially announced.
