The stage crew members at Ultimate Fighting Championship are preparing themselves to set up the octagon at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden for “UFC Fight Night 109”. Alexander Gustafsson will be making his return to the octagon for the first time since September 2016 when he scored a decision win over Jan Blachowicz.
Gustafsson will be welcoming Glover Teixeira into the octagon for a five-round main event war for light heavyweight supremacy. With Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier all but official for D.C.’s next championship defense, Gustafsson and Teixeira will likely be fighting for the right to challenge whoever walks out of that fight for the light heavyweight championship.
The rest of the card features a who’s who when it comes to exciting fighters who always seem to fly under the radars. The co-main event of the evening features another light heavyweight clash between heavy hitters Volkan Oezdemir and Misha Cirkunov who is quickly tearing through all competition put in front of him.
The fights will kick off extremely early with the UFC Fight Pass preliminary portion of the card starting at 9:30 AM ET. The main card will kick off at 1:00 PM ET and air exclusively on Fox Sports 1. Check out the full lineup for the card below:
