2017 Marks The Longest In UFC History That A Fighter Hasn’t Won Two Fights

The year 2017 has had a slow start when it comes to the UFC.

Five months into the year and not much has happened compared to recent years in the sport. No titles in the UFC have changed hands and the premiere MMA organization has yet put on a major event in terms of viewership for television or pay-per-view.

The year of 2017 has also been a slow year for the fighters. No male fighter in the entire UFC has won two fights this year. This is the longest drought for any fighter in the last 10 years.

Last year, it took light heavyweight Ilir Latifi just three months to pick up two wins in the UFC. In 2015, it took Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone just 18 days to pick up two UFC victories.

The longest drought prior to 2017 took place four years ago. In 2013, no fighter won two fights that year until Urijah Faber won his second fight on April 13.
