Former UFC Champ Frank Mir Says USADA Flags Innocent Fighters For Financial Gain

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir claims he did nothing wrong in order to fail a drug test after his last fight.

After fighting Mark Hunt, in March 2016, Mir failed an anti-doping drug test from USADA. Mir has since received a two-year suspension due to the failed drug test.

In a recent interview with RT Sport, Mir tells his entire story behind his failed drug test and claims he is innocent.

Mir claims he has not purposely taken any banned substances. He also says he’s been paying out of pocket to test every supplement he’s taken over the past year.

“USADA financially needs to find innocents fighters guilty,” Mir said.

Mir also went on to talk about the need for an athletes association in MMA. Due to USADA suspending fighters even though they have not taken any drugs.
