Former UFC title challenger Cat Zingano really wants to fight former Strikeforce, and Invicta, Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino.
On Wednesday, Zingano went to Twitter and said she has been “begging” for a fight with Justino.
It is rare for any women in the sport of MMA to actually call out “Cyborg”. For over a decade, Justino has been unbeaten in the sport and is arguably the most dominant female fighter of all time.
Justino has been campaigning for a shot at the UFC women’s featherweight title. However, the future of that division is uncertain at this time.
Also, “Cyborg” recently assaulted Angela Magana at the UFC Athlete Retreat. After being punched by Justino, Magana pressed charges. So at this time, Justino’s future is also uncertain.
Zingano has not fought since last July. At UFC 200, she lost a decision to Julianna Pena. In her prior fight, she lost a title fight to Ronda Rousey. However, before the losses, Zingano defeated three of the best female fighters in the world today in Raquel Pennington, Miesha Tate, and UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
