Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor is currently attempting to set up a career high payday. For the payday, the UFC champion is looking to face undefeated boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside a boxing ring.
However, the UFC lightweight champion has other priorities at the moment. Conor McGregor just became a father. With “Notorious” celebrating the birth of his son, things seem to have been put on hold for the Mayweather vs. McGregor matchup.
Floyd Mayweather recently admitted that he would see where he and the UFC champion were at after Conor McGregor had some time with his newborn son. Now, it would appear that the UFC president is on the same page.
UFC President Dana White recently answered a few questions concerning a possible date for McGregor vs. Mayweather. The president admitted that September 16 was a desired date, but not after the announcement of Gennaday Golovkin vs. Canelo Alvarez.
Dana White then agreed that Conor McGregor’s focus is currently on the recent birth of his child. For the full interview, see the video below.
