Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar has come forward in a recent interview to give his opinion on the UFC retreat incident between “Cyborg” and Angela Magana.
The 2017 UFC fighter summit recently went down, but not without its drama. Former Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and UFC strawweight Angela Magana had a confrontation at the athlete retreat.
Responding to weeks of social media trash talking from Angela Magana, “Cyborg” confronted the strawweight at the retreat. After “Cyborg” struck Magana, the police were called by the UFC. Angela Magana then elected to press charges against Justino.
Angela Magana then revealed that she plans on filing a lawsuit against Cristiane Justino. Now, in an interview with TMZ Sports, Frankie Edgar has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
“You run your mouth, someone is going to check it for you. I don’t see how a fighter can press charges for getting hit. That is kind of crazy to me, especially if you run your mouth.” Edgar said.
