Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is gearing up for his return to the mixed martial arts realm. The former champion has been away from the octagon for over three years now.
St-Pierre was initially looking to face UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping for his big UFC return. However, the match is now growing less likely with the coming days. Now, St-Pierre has revealed why he wanted to face the champion in the first place.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani on today’s edition of The MMA Hour, Georges St-Pierre revealed that he wants face an opponent that will elevate him. He believes Michael “The Count” Bisping is no cheater and that he pays his dues to the UFC.
