UFC 211 went down over the weekend in Dallas, Texas inside the American Airlines Center on Saturday night. In the UFC 211 Post-Fight Press Conference, the UFC president shared his thoughts on some recent gripes among middleweight division contenders. However, a contender is now lashing back.
In the UFC 211 Post-Fight Press Conference, UFC President Dana White explained that he believes title shots must be earned. The president specifically referenced former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, who has been attempting to score another title shot in his division.
Now, Luke Rockhold has decided to respond to the UFC president. Over Twitter, Rockhold stated “@danawhite ‘You have to earn your way in this company’? Tell me how did GSP earn a middleweight title shot? Think before you run your mouth.”
Luke Rockhold was most recently in the octagon at UFC 199 last June. The former champion faced a title ending loss to now reigning UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping after suffering a first round knockout defeat.
