During a conference call, a reporter upset UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor when he critiqued one of his fights.
During a conference call prior to UFC 202, media members were allowed to call and ask questions to McGregor and his upcoming, and previous, opponent Nate Diaz.
A member of the media then brought up the finish to McGregor’s fight with Diaz back in March 2016, at UFC 196, when Diaz submitted McGregor. The reporter claimed that McGregor submitted quickly to Diaz’s rear-naked choke.
“I’d like to see you in there my friend. Talking about quick tap,” McGregor said to the reporter.
The reporter then responded by saying he wouldn’t even last seven seconds in the cage without getting knocked out.
At UFC 202, McGregor went on to avenge his loss to Diaz by winning a decision. In his last fight, McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez to become the UFC lightweight champion.
