Report: Conor McGregor Agrees To $75 Million Purse For Floyd Mayweather Fight

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has officially agreed on a deal to fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match.

According to a report by Yahoo, McGregor will get paid $75 million to make his professional boxing debut.

This week White confirmed with ESPN that he and McGregor made a deal for the fight to happen. Now, White just has to make a deal with Mayweather, who in the past has said he wants at least $100 million to come out of retirement.

“Conor and I have agreed on a deal,” White said. “Then you get a bunch of lawyers involved and it gets stupid. As soon as it is done we go to work. It will be me and (Al) Haymon (Mayweather’s advisor).

“It’s either going to happen this year or it’s never going to happen at all. This isn’t something I’m going to spend a bunch of time on and dedicate the next three months of my life to. Conor wants to fight twice this year and one of those fights to be Floyd if possible.”

McGregor said earlier this year, he expects to fight Mayweather at the end of the year or in the beginning of 2018. White has said he wants the fight to take place as early as September.
