Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight top contender Anthony “Rumble” Johnson made his final octagon appearance at UFC 210. Now, it would appear that the former fighter has revealed what he is doing now.
Back in April, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson took a shot at the UFC light heavyweight title in a rematch fight with reigning champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 210. However, the fighter faced another loss to the champion.
In his post-fight interview, “Rumble” made an unexpected announcement. The No. 1 division contender revealed that he was retiring from the sport. Anthony Johnson did not initially reveal what exactly it was he was moving forward to do, but now it would appear the former fighter has decided to come forward.
In a recent interview on Booker T’s “Heated Conversations,” as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Anthony Johnson stated “We’re opening up a facility, if you know what I mean. It’s for medical uses. … We got some good things going on.
“It’s already big. We’re just waiting for that law to pass and whenever it passes, we’re golden. We’re playing our cards right, we’re playing by the book, so that way there’s no issue.”
