“Super” Sage Northcutt has dropped out of college in order to focus on his career as a UFC fighter.
Northcutt appeared on a recent episode of The MMA Hour and announced he had stopped taking classes and was putting all of his efforts into being the best fighter he can be.
“I withdrew from classes. So right now no more classes,” Northcutt said. “I’m just going to focus full time on training, and going out there and winning, putting on a great show, and being the best I can be.”
Northcutt was previously a student of Texas A&M University. He said after he’s done fighting he may go back to college. However, he wants to focus on his opportunity in the UFC.
Northcutt went on to say that his parents believe he is making a smart decision because he has a great opportunity to make a lot of money as a UFC fighter.
Northcutt is currently scheduled to fight Claudio Puelles in a lightweight fight at UFC 214 on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
