During media day for Bellator 180, Chinzo Machida drank his own urine.
Machida is the older brother of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida. In their family, it is common for them to drink their own urine.
“Now, we’re ready to fight,” Chinzo Machida said after drinking his urine at media day for Bellator 180.
Lyoto drank it and it led to him becoming UFC champion, so it might work for Chinzo as well.
The Machida brothers were taught to drink their urine from their father. Machida revealed he drank his urine every day in an interview back in 2009.
“My father does that for a long time and bring it to us,” Lyoto Machida said. People think it’s a joke. I never said it in the United States because I don’t know how the fans will react. I drink my urine every morning like a natural medicine.”
Chinzo Machida will fight James Gallagher at Bellator 180 on June 24 at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City.
