Despite being in the main event, UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson is not featured on the UFC 215 poster.
At UFC 215, Johnson will defend his title against Ray Borg in the main event. This will be Johnson’s 11th consecutive title defense, and if he wins, he’ll break the UFC record for successful title defenses.
The UFC recently revealed its poster for UFC 215. The poster features UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes and top contender Valentina Shevchenko, who will fight in the co-main event.
The poster also features former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos and his opponent Francis Ngannou.
It’s no secret the UFC hasn’t been a fan of Johnson as of late due to him refusing to fight former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw. Johnson didn’t want the fight due to Dillashaw having never fought at 125 pounds.
UFC 215 will take place Sept. 9 at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
