The UFC has announced three new matchups to their already stacked schedule.
In a pivotal fight in the UFC light heavyweight division, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will fight Ovince Saint Preux at a UFC Fight Night in Japan on Sept. 23.
This will be the second time these two fighters fight in the UFC. In Nov. 2014, Saint Preux defeated Rua by TKO.
Since that fight, Rua has been unbeaten. “Shogun” is currently on a three-fight win streak, which is his longest win streak since joining the UFC back in 2007.
Rua is coming off a TKO win over Gian Villante back in March. His win streak also includes victories over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Corey Anderson.
Saint Preux is coming off a submission win over Marcos Rogério de Lima.
With the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter all wrapped up, the UFC also announced the two final matchups that will take place on Friday at The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale.
Dhiego Lima will fight Jesse Taylor to crown this season’s winner of TUF.
The semifinalists on the show will also compete as Tom Gallicchio faces James Krause.
