Vitor Belfort has called out UFC middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum.
Belfort wants a rematch from his last loss in the UFC. Back in March, Belfort was defeated by Gastelum by TKO. However, the fight was later turned into a no-contest after Gastelum tested positive for marijuana use.
On Saturday, Belfort sent out a message saying since he can’t fight Derek Brunson, he wants a rematch with Gastelum.
“I was supposed to fight (Derek Brunson) last year and again on September 9th. Twice UFC offered me this fight and weeks later says that he is not available. I don’t know what that means… After that they offered me a beginner as a opponent to fight in Canada… I don’t know what is happening, but if (Derek Brunson) can’t fight. (Kelvin Gastelum) let’s erase the no contest from our cards. I don’t care about your fight result tonight. I’m ready to fight!!! Let’s do it again!”
On Saturday, Gastelum headlined a UFC on FOX event against former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman. Gastelum was submitted by the former champion in the third round.
