The most highly anticipated fight in combat sports history is set to take place Saturday, August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather will return to the sport, after being retired for the last two years, to fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he steps into the ring with Mayweather. Despite not having any professional boxing experience, McGregor is one of the most dangerous strikers in all of MMA. McGregor’s knockout power has resulted in him winning two different UFC championships.
Mayweather may earn the largest payday of his fighting career when he fights McGregor, but in order to get that money, Mayweather must put his perfect 49-0 record on the line.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will be a 12-round boxing match contested at 154 pounds.
