Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi says he actually got the better of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor when the two met inside the ring.
Malignaggi is upset with McGregor, and his camp, due to photos being leaked of the two sparring. The former boxing champion was brought to Las Vegas to help McGregor prepare for his professional boxing debut later this month.
In the photos, McGregor is seen landing hard offense on Malignaggi, while he appears to have taken damage.
On Thursday, Malignaggi revealed that he was the one who actually did more damage to the UFC champion while the two sparred for 12 rounds.
“I actually beat his (expletive), 24 hrs off a flight 2 lol, which is why I’m saying post the vid, I try not 2 be petty but seems it’s late 4 that now,” Malignaggi said on Twitter.
Since the photos leaked, Malignaggi has left McGregor’s training camp.
On Aug. 26, McGregor is scheduled to make his professional boxing debut against Floyd “Money” Mayweather in Las Vegas.
