The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is always looking to pull new talent into their ranks of top level athletes. While one of the mixed martial art promotion’s most recently signed talents has had a delay in her debut, fans can still learn about the talented Andrea Lee below.
Legacy FC flyweight champion Andrea Lee was set to make her UFC debut at UFC 216 against Kalindra Faria. She was removed from her UFC 216 contest because she did not meet USADA’s requirements, therefore must be in their testing pool for six-months before she can make her debut.
“A new or returning Athlete who admits or has an established and verifiable history of the Use, Attempted Use or Possession of a substance or method that is classified as prohibited at all times on the Prohibited List shall not be permitted to compete in UFC Bouts until he/she has made him/herself available for Testing for a minimum period of six months before competing. At USADA’s discretion, such Athletes may also be required to provide a minimum of two negative Samples during the minimum six-month notice period before being cleared for competition. This provision shall not apply in situations in which (i) the Athlete’s Use of the Prohibited Substance or Method was pursuant to a valid TUE or (ii) USADA subsequently grants the Athlete a TUE for the substance or method in question.”
Andrea Lee is riding a four fight winning streak inside the Legacy FC and Invicta promotions, putting the champion at an impressive 8-2 professional record. However, having been pulled from her UFC debut, it would appear that the fighter will have to wait a bit longer for the next huge step in her fighting career.
For now, Andrea Lee cannot be seen inside the octagon. But, here is a collection of images the fighter has offered her fans through her Instagram account for viewing below.
