Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey got a great reaction from the crowd while appearing at a WWE event on Tuesday.
Rousey was in Las Vegas to watch her close friend, Shayna Baszler, compete in the biggest professional wrestling match of her career. Baszler was competing in the finals of the Mae Young Classic, a tournament that featured 32 females wrestlers competing from all over the world.
During the event, Rousey was sitting in the front row and the WWE crowd started chanting for the former UFC champion. The Las Vegas crowd chanted “We want Ronda” as she was watching the WWE event.
Baszler went on to lose the finals of the Mae Young Classic. She was defeated by Kairi Sane, who was a major star in the Japanese wrestling promotion Stardom before joining the WWE.
With Baszler now in the WWE, rumors have been spreading about Rousey having a match in the wrestling promotion. Rousey is known for being a major fan of professional wrestling and has made appearances in the WWE in the past.
