Tragedy struck Las Vegas, Nev. late Sunday night when concert goers were fired upon by a gunman. Now UFC president Dana White has come forward with a reaction to the incident, as well as the unrelated passing of a rock n’ roll legend.
The Route 91 Harvest Music Festival took place across the street from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday night, with an estimated 22, 000 fans having gathered for the event. From the 32nd floor of the Mandalay resort, a gunman fired upon the crowd. A reported 515 individuals were injured and 58 killed from the attack.
The shooter was later revealed to be one Stephen Paddock, age 64. Police found Paddock dead in his hotel after the shooting.
In other news, music legend Tom Petty was found unresponsive and not breathing in his Malibu home on Sunday night. Tom Petty passed away at the age of 66.
Now UFC President Dana White has decided to come forward with a response to today’s news. Over Instagram, Dana White stated:
“Vegas and now Tom Petty??? What a F**KED UP DAY. RIP Tom Petty”
